Before We Go. A movie set in New York City, in which two vastly different individuals (Chris Evans and Alice Eve) experience a rare and exciting night.
Now I must preface this by saying most people who watch this will just shrug it off as just another boring indie-style film.
However, I love movies like this. It was simple, yet kept me engaged. Some would probably dislike the ending, I found it perfect. It is one of those endings that leaves you guessing, but at the same time leaving you fulfilled. I enjoy being pointed in a direction, instead of directly told the outcome.
I thought the tone of the film was dim and gloomy, but this is an accurate depiction of life. You have to go through the difficult times in order to have those memorable moments that make it all worth it.
The soundtrack was fantastic. Since it is a smaller film, only release in select theaters, there is not an actual soundtrack. Luckily, Spotify has a playlist that someone made with all the songs from the film.
IMDB has this movie at 6.9/10. I feel that this is a very accurate score for many people, and I will not dispute it since I felt the script was lacking and some of the experiences a bit unrealistic. Nevertheless, I gave this film an 8/10.
Overall, I recommend this movie to anyone looking for a good film to watch on a rainy day or night. It can be watched with your significant other or by yourself. Do not expect La La Land, but just go into it with an open mind.
